Solar Design Estimator
Location: Sussex
Employment Type: Full-time
The Solar Design Estimator role sits within our rapidly growing renewables division, supporting a strong pipeline of domestic and commercial solar projects across the South‑East. We’re looking for an experienced solar professional -ideally a former installer, electrician, supervisor or site lead - ready to step into a customer‑facing, consultative position. You’ll manage enquiries from initial assessment through to contract agreement, carrying out surveys, designing solar PV and battery systems, preparing proposals with clear financial benefits, and guiding customers confidently through their options. Using your practical installation knowledge, you’ll help convert qualified leads into successful projects while working closely with our delivery teams to ensure smooth handovers.
A solid understanding of PV systems, inverters and battery storage is essential, along with strong communication skills, commercial awareness and the ability to manage your own workload; experience with design software such as OpenSolar or SolarEdge is beneficial but training can be provided.
